Western Canadian Music Award

We are thrilled to announce that Allegra has been nominated for Classical Ensemble of the Year!

We are deeply grateful to our incredible musicians, composers, collaborators, board and community members for their support as we have grown and evolved over the past seven years, we couldn’t have done this without you!    

We submitted our recording of Alice Ping Yee Ho’s Mascarada, (concerto for cello and flamenco dancer), with special guests Rachel Mercer, cello and Cyrena Luchkow-Huang, flamenco dancer, as part of our portfolio for this award.

We had an amazing time developing this work with the composer and soloists,

and are so grateful to the incredible crew from Opus 59 Films that captured it in both film and audio!  

Awards will be handed out at the Breakout West Showcase happening September 25-29 in Saskatoon, SK!
